Well hello friends! Long time no chat. As you can see as the title of this post, I was in a very long rut and finally just realized I needed to snap out of it. I have been powering through work the past couple of months and focusing all my attention on work, friends, and family. It has been a hot second since I’ve posted anything on here and I apologize if you’ve been a weekly reader of mine. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve viewed this website as a platform to share my life and what I love with y’all. I made a promise to myself that I would never post for the sake of posting and I had to stay true to myself and what inspired me. I want to share the best content that I can and when I was in a rut that simply just wasn’t going to happen.
Happy March everyone! Woo we are one step closer to spring..can I get the hands up emoji?! Anyways, I am here today to not only wish you a Happy March but to share the 10 things that I do that help me stay sane or even distress. If you are Catholic like I am, today is the Ash Wednesday which is simply the first day of Lent. Lent is more about giving up bad things from your life but to focus more on the meaning of Easter. Instead of giving up junk food, I always like to focus on things that make me a better person or make me feel better about myself. It is a time to reflect and give thanks. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. What did you all do? I went to Central Park on Saturday for this Ice Sculpture thing but let me tell you, online it made it seem like it was going to be this insanely awesome festival with ice sculptures everywhere. Boy were they wrong, there was maybe 1 ice sculpture…. #fail. But Central Park was so pretty with all the snow from Thursday and there were so many kids on their sleds and building snowmen. It was too cute for words! Anyways, today is Valentine’s Day and I wanted to share with you all 14 things that I love / are thankful for. Continue reading “14 Things That I Love This Valentine’s Day”
We made it to another Friday and happy day 2 of NYFW friends! Hope everyone was safe and escaped the snow storm yesterday. I fortunately was able to work home yesterday which was so nice sitting watching Sex in The City episodes while crunching numbers in excel. Does anyone have any fun plans this weekend? I’m still trying to put mine together as we speak. Continue reading “Friday Favorites”
Happy Friday! I can’t believe how close we are to February already! Usually January and February are the slowest months because you know, mother nature is never on our side, however this month is FLYING by. It has been a very emotional and stressful month but hopefully all my prayers will be answered and I will be receiving some good news soon! This weekend will be a busy one, I am volunteering at an event with the First Tee, an organization that I am really passionate about and then I’m celebrating a friends milestone in Sunday with a bunch of my college girlfriends. I never liked reading books in my childhood because reading for pleasure still felt like homework or something that I was forced to do. After I graduated college I found the love of reading and even though I only read maybe 3-4 books a year (really only during summer or the winter) I want to increase that number significantly in 2017. It is really challenging for me to find the time especially during the work week to read. I would love to be the person who gets in a routine of reading for at least 30 mins before bed every day but I feel like I will never be that person. I look at words and numbers all day at work and when I come home from work the last thing I want to do is read more words and numbers. However, there are SO many great books out there that I want to start getting my hands on. I recently read You are a Bad Ass by Jen Sincero and loved it, read Girl on the Train last year, and Me Before You. Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors and love everything she writes so she is definitely top of the list. Continue reading “Book Inspirations”
Inhale, exhale… that is my mentality when writing this post. As I read other blogs, I have come to realize how important it is for bloggers to become more personable with their readers. It is a way for bloggers to “connect” with their readers and confirm that they are normal human beings too. It is one of my goals too for this year and going forward. I want to share with you all a little piece of my life which will always include milestones and hardships. I’m not perfect nor I never plan to be. It is who I am and over the years I have just accepted it. Continue reading “Let’s Get Personal”
