How To Get Out of A Rut

Well hello friends! Long time no chat. As you can see as the title of this post, I was in a very long rut and finally just realized I needed to snap out of it. I have been powering through work the past couple of months and focusing all my attention on work, friends, and family. It has been a hot second since I’ve posted anything on here and I apologize if you’ve been a weekly reader of mine. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve viewed this website as a platform to share my life and what I love with y’all. I made a promise to myself that I would never post for the sake of posting and I had to stay true to myself and what inspired me. I want to share the best content that I can and when I was in a rut that simply just wasn’t going to happen.

Naples, Florida Travel Guide

Hi friends! Hope y’all are having a great week. Is it just me or is this week dragging on like crazy? Last weekend I was visiting my family in Naples and was in serious need of some R&R. This was my second time spending Easter down there and boy is the weather perfect this time of year! I decided to put together a little travel guide for y’all if you are interested in traveling down to Naples! It is a beautiful and darling town that is ever so slightly starting to feel like “home”.  Continue reading “Naples, Florida Travel Guide”

Friday Favorites

Sorry y’all for my delayed post. This week woof, has been a tough one. I feel like I’ve been running around like crazy. It honestly started with a really busy weekend that ended around bedtime on Sunday. With all that being said, I was unable to go to the grocery store, clean my apartment, and just have a breather. As you know, Sundays are my jam, I can re-piece myself together after un-piecing (if that is a word) myself during the workweek and Saturday. But life happens and I am so excited to have a low key weekend.  Continue reading “Friday Favorites”

Book Inspirations

I never liked reading books in my childhood because reading for pleasure still felt like homework or something that I was forced to do. After I graduated college I found the love of reading and even though I only read maybe 3-4 books a year (really only during summer or the winter) I want to increase that number significantly in 2017. It is really challenging for me to find the time especially during the work week to read. I would love to be the person who gets in a routine of reading for at least 30 mins before bed every day but I feel like I will never be that person. I look at words and numbers all day at work and when I come home from work the last thing I want to do is read more words and numbers. However, there are SO many great books out there that I want to start getting my hands on. I recently read You are a Bad Ass by Jen Sincero and loved it, read Girl on the Train last year, and Me Before You. Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors and love everything she writes so she is definitely top of the list.  Continue reading “Book Inspirations”
