Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Recap

I know, I know. This post is EXTREMELY delayed but I was looking at photos the other day and was in complete aw of how much I love this event. It was my first time attending the Polo Classic but have heard tremendous things and knew I had to attend. I purchased these tickets in April?! (not entirely sure) and it felt like forever until the event but before you knew it, it was already June and the day finally came!

I ordered a bunch of dresses but wasn’t sure which one to go with. I knew I wanted to stick with the classic white and I’m happy I did. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold and SUNSHINE. This event is rain or shine so I am extremely grateful we had the sunshine the entire event. My friend and I purchased the Early Access tickets (highly recommend) and 100% think that was the best decision. We were able to get on the first ferry to Liberty State Park and has access to the grounds before anyone else. This meant we were able to snag a spot on the “front row” of the polo grounds and were close to umbrellas. But the best part was being able to grab a bottle two bottles of Rose without waiting in a really long line. The day was so much fun just relaxing on our Veuve blankets, drinking rose, watching the match, people watching (of course), and seeing Alicia Keys perform. Next year I’m highly considering the Rose Garden but I honestly had a great time as is. I highly recommend attending this event if you live in the city to attend next year! It was the perfect kickoff to summer.

Proof that it got really busy. Let’s just say the bathroom line wasn’t very fun.

And just like that, it was time to take the ferry home. Very happy I went with wearing my Jack Rogers instead of wedges. The walk to and from the ferry was long and it was hilarious seeing people what I like to say “fertilizing” the lawn when they were wearing heels.

See you next year VCPC! Thanks for the great kickoff to summer.
