I’m so excited to share with you all this weeks Guest Series blogger! I had the amazing opportunity to interview Krista, the blogger behind Covering the Bases. I have been following Krista’s blog for a long time now and she is one of my favorite bloggers. I love her style, apartment, and blog posts! I encourage you all to check her out! Thanks again, Krista for letting me interview you!
(1) What inspired you to create Covering the Bases?
Well I originally had a blog called Southern Shopaholic and that was inspired by boredom. Covering the Bases was inspired by my work (for MLB.com) and by wanting to be different any 100% myself.
(2) How would you describe your style?
I would think of it as a modern preppy. I like classic things, white shirts, and pearls. But my style really depends on the day and my mood– which I love. It’s a representation of who I am that day in time.
(3) What are you most excited for in regards to winter fashion?
I’m pretty excited to break out my LL Bean boots. They’re my favorite thing to wear in the winter!
(4) What is the best and worst part about living in NYC?
Best? The food! Worst? Walking in the rain / cold
(5) What do you love most about blogging? When did you realize your blog was a success?
I love meeting people–whether it be fans or other bloggers. I love making that connection! As for the success part, I think it’s still a work in process so I will let you know when I realize it’s “there.”
(6) For people who just started blogging, what advice would you give them?
Find your voice and be yourself! There are so many bloggers out there you need to find your voice and find what makes you different. Don’t be the same as the girl next to you.
(7) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Happy and doing what I love surrounded by those I love. I always love these questions because so much can change in such a short period of time that I stopped planning for the future. I just hope wherever I am, I’m happy!
Isn’t Krista such a doll? I loved her responses! Comment below on bloggers you would like me to interview!
