Happy Friday! Well this week flew by. I can’t believe it is already the weekend here. I have been super busy with work but fortunately I was able to leave the office early on a Friday (around 1:30pm) which was really really nice! It is a gloomy / rainy day here in Minneapolis and boy does my body know that. I have found it such a struggle staying awake. I have a busy weekend planned with a ton of errands (home goods, whole foods, target, etc). The weather here for the upcoming week is going to be absolutely freezing and I’m not looking forward to it. This morning I booked my flights to head back to Connecticut for Christmas and I couldn’t be more excited. I am staying in Minneapolis this Thanksgiving because I just moved here so I felt kind of silly flying back home again and then flying home for Christmas. My friends at work and I are doing a friendsgiving which will be a lot of fun and I can’t wait! I seriously can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here. The time sure goes by so fast!
Here are this weeks Friday favorites:
(1) My interview with Chelsea from Zipped blog. I was really excited to do this interview because Chelsea lives in Minneapolis too and has an amazing sense of style. Be sure to check it out here!
(2) Vineyard Vines released their new holiday arrivals and I couldn’t be more excited. I basically want to buy everything but my wallet keeps telling me no (ugh). I’m currently loving this scarf and this skirt! All of their things are adorable and VV is a perfect place to buy Christmas gifts!
(3) This recipe. So I found this recipe scrolling down my bloglovin feed and my mouth literally was drooling the entire time reading it. I mean, how amazing does this dish look? I am a HUGE squash fan and I am trying to convince myself to love kale because of all the nutrients. So basically I believe this recipe will make me love kale just because squash is also a main ingredient.
(4) Pinterest. I don’t know what it is but some days I just can’t get off it. I am constantly addicted finding new recipes, pinning new styles, and basically building my dream home. I believe Pinterest is a great way to express your style and try new amazing recipes! Be sure to follow me on Pinterest (Splash of Preppy)!
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I am so excited it is finally Friday and I’m sure you all are too!
