Election Day

Happy November everyone! I can’t believe October is already gone. This year sure has flown by and since it is officially November I am so excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since I just moved to my new city, I won’t be traveling back to Connecticut this year for Thanksgiving. Even though I am very upset, I realized it just wasn’t ideal to spend a ton of money to fly back home and then fly back out again in December. Since I started a new job, I was skeptical about purchasing an airline ticket before knowing my work schedule. So this year I will be celebrating it on my own! I have been looking up yummy Thanksgiving recipes so I can try to feel like I am back at home. It is going to be a ton of work cooking by myself (and doing dishes) but I feel like as a twenty-two year old, I need to learn how to.

This weekend was very nice here in Minneapolis! On Sunday it was beautiful and I enjoyed the weather by taking a nice long run (semi-walking) around the lakes. It was a perfect fall day and I figured I might as well enjoy the weather before it changes to winter. On a side note, I looked at the weather forecast and for next week it is going to be freezing and possibly snowing? Ugh. Something I have to get used to reallllllly soon! On Saturday I went to the Apple store and finally got a new phone. I decided to purchase the Silver iPhone 6 and so far I love it. I am so happy to finally have a reliable cell phone again. When I was at the Apple store, it was packed. Their inventory levels were really low but fortunately I was able to get a phone! After my adventures at the Apple Store (I was there for 2 hours) I decided to treat myself to a late lunch / early dinner at Chipotle. Words can’t even describe how much I love Chipotle and I haven’t eaten Chipotle in forever so boy did it taste good. This weekend was very relaxing and that is exactly what I needed after a busy week at work! I feel like this week is going by soooo slowly but I have to remember that tomorrow is Wednesday…almost Friday!

As you all know, today is Election Day. I can’t express enough how important it is for you all to go out and vote. It is a right we are given and people fought for this right. Some may believe that their one vote won’t make a difference, but it does. It is an honor to be able to express yourself and vote for the party you truly think will do great things for our great nation. I voted and I hope you did too! I currently am watching the news right now and tracking down the results!

How is everyones week going so far? Be sure to tune in tomorrow for my Guest Series post!
