Happy Monday! I am so excited for this weeks guest series. I had the amazing opportunity to interview Ellen from A Pop of Pink the other day. I am so happy I came across her blog because she has a great sense of style and has amazing blog posts! Be sure to follow her blog and also follow her on Twitter!
Thank you Ellen for letting me interview you!
1. What inspired you to start A Pop of Pink?
I was previously writing for a teen section of a newspaper, and when that opportunity came to an end, I knew I wanted to find a way to still write. I had always considered blogging in the past, and I really came to enjoy reading other blogs. I figured, why not go for it?
2. Describe your style and your must-have item for fall.
My style can change from day to day, but I think that my style can always be described as classy. I love pieces that can be staples in my wardrobe. My must-have item for fall is a pair of brown combat boots. I love my riding boots as well, but combat boots are so fun, go with everything, and add a sophisticated edge to any outfit.
3. Who or where do you get inspiration from to write a blog post?
My life, Pinterest, and definitely reading my favorite blogs.
4. How do you interact with other bloggers and how do you get people to read and comment on your blog?
I think it’s important to show interest in what others are doing. One of my favorite parts of my day is going through my Bloglovin’ feed and seeing what others are up to. I know how good it feels when people comment on my blog, so I love to do the same for others! Instagram is another great place to like photos, comment, and ask questions. Engaging with other bloggers is half of the fun!
5. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully I’ll be working in public relations or communications. I’d love to be working in a city because I love city life. And of course, I’ll still be blogging too. I couldn’t imagine my life without blogging.
6. What advice do you have for new bloggers?
One of the best pieces of blogging advice I ever got came from Carly of The College Prepster, who said that you should blog for you. I blog because I love to blog. I love all the benefits that can come along with being a blogger, but at the end of the day, I do it because it makes me happy. And I think that if you’re doing blogging for any other reasons, you’ll become uninspired and fall out of love with it.
What did you all think of the interview? Do you all enjoy my weekly Guest Series? Comment if you would like me to interview you for my next Guest Series!
