TGIF! I decided that every Friday I am going to have a post titled Friday favorites. I am going to post great things that I experienced, discovered, or witnessed during this week. This was a great week for myself and my blog! I have been noticed by many and have a lot of exciting things coming up! It was a beautiful week here in Connecticut and it couldn’t be any better. This week was all about enjoying the weather and spending time with family and friends. I want to share with all my wonderful viewers my top picks for this week:
(1): Derek Jeter. Need I say more? I have been a loyal Yankees fan since I was born (21 years ago). Obviously I can’t remember watching baseball until I was three/four years old but it was part of my childhood. I have always enjoyed watching the games with my friends and family. The Yankee organization is world class and has produced many amazing players throughout the year. It is sad to say that Derek Jeter will not be returning next year, the following year, or ever. He is our Captain and was a great one. He shows so much class and I believe he was one of the most respected players in baseball. I watched an interview this morning after his game and he said what got him through his career was not having any excuses. He said “you can either play the game or not play the game” and if you play the game no one wants any excesses. Last nights game was truly a great one (did you see him get the winning hit?!?) and was very emotional. He is truly a wonderful teammate and will be greatly missed by his teammates and most importantly, his fans.
(2): Last night, I discovered Cape Codder Sunglasses. I suggest everyone taking a look at their sunglasses and purchase a pair! They are amazing and certainly are beautiful. The best part of this company is that 10% of all sales go to preserving Cape Cod. They made donations to Cape Cod National Seashore and Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore. I love how their products are homemade with the best products. It is truly a great (local) business to support. Always be sure to #StepUpYourPrep! Also, be sure to follow them on twitter like I do!
(3): If you follow me on Pinterest, you know how obsessed I am with quotes. I found a quote that I believe is great for bloggers. I started blogging at the beginning of the year and have come to love it. I use it as a way to express myself and share with others fashion and life tips. I believe it is important to create a blog for you and not because you want to get noticed by others. I found this quotes on Pinterest and it states, “your worth is not measured in likes, comments, notes, or followers; but in your ability to love, keep comments to yourself, take note and lead.” This is a great quote and I think everyone, a blogger or not, should keep in mind every day!
Hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead! I have a busy weekend and it is going to be beautiful out (hello low 80’s)!
